The deal was negotiated by Thom Zadra of Red Envelope Entertainment, Richard Lorber of Koch Lorber Films, Mark Ankner of Endeavor and Tine Klint for Nordisk Film.
The film has already sold to Canada (Seville Pictures), the UK and Ireland, (Revolver Entertainment) Russia/CIS (Maywin Media) and several smaller territories.
The deal on Bornedal's thriller comes as Trust Film Sales and Nordisk Film
Sales have been racking up the sales on other titles on their EFM slate during their first Berlinale joined at the hip.
Omar Shargawi's Rotterdam winner Go With Peace Jamil, a hardboiled revenge
thriller set in Denmark's Arab community, has gone to the Middle East (Shooting Stars).
There is also plenty of buzz around animated mosquito comedy, A Tale Of Two
Mozzies, which has now flown to Middle East (Media International Pictures), and to Czech Republic and Slovokia (Bowline).
The Amazon Jack animated films are also piquing buyers' curiosity. Deals done thus far on Amazon Jack 1, 2 and 3 include CIS (Voxfilm), Argentina/Brazil (Flash Star/Focus Filmes) and the Middele East (Media International Pictures.)
A deal has also been done on Niels Arden Oplev's Worlds Apart. The drama, screening in the Berlinale's Generation - 14 Plus, has gone to MV Films in Mexico.
