Norway's teenagers invited the third instalment of the American Pie movies, American Wedding, on to the top spot this weekend leaving Pirates Of The Caribbean in second place and last week's chart topper Bad Boys 2 down 52% to 4th behind the second new release in the top ten, Sinbad.

This pushed the three local crowd pleasers, Buddy, The Beast Of Beauty (aka Little Miss Norway) and United further down the chart, but they still fared much better than last week's local release Bazo, which dropped 41% to 24th place, and even this week's new Norwegian film, Destination Moskva (Mot Moskva).

The latter, which opened 17th, is an experimental film directed by Jo Stroemgren and Rune Hodne which follows a theatre troupe through Eastern Europe. The film is a Chekhovian story of broken dreams and unrealistic ambitions, where the actors speak only gibberish.
