After two weeks at the top of the chart even Mother's Elling had to back down to the attack of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol.1, though it retained its position on the admissions chart (30,652 vs. 29,819) due to its high number of prints.
However, Bill's impressive 806 admissions screen average made its gross the most, whereas the Coen-brothers' Intolerable Cruelty landed safely on third in front of the other new releases Calendar Girls on fifth and the new Norwegian family film Fia! (pictured) on eight. The latter never-the-less made it into fourth place on the admissions chart with 6,480 tickets sold this weekend.
