Max Manus, from directors Espen Sandberg and Jachim Ronning, will open the 3rdedition of Norwegian Film Days in Stockholm, taking place on March 19-22.
The war drama is now the second most popular Norwegian film of all time after Pinchcliffe Grand Prix.
Other films included in the programme will be Erik Poppe's Troubled Water (De Usynlige), Tommy Wirkola's Dead Snow (Dod Sno) and Rune Denstad Langlo's 99% Honest (99% Aerlig), which have all been scheduled for general release in Sweden.
The Norwegian Film Days are organised by the Norwegian Embassy and the Norwegian Film Institute.
The Embassy commented, 'We want to show the exciting development in current Norwegian cinema. Max Manus will certainly interest the Swedish quality-conscious audiences, who also will know about the importance of Stockholm to the Norwegian resistance during World War 2.'
Max Manus, which recently won five Kanon awards and hauled over 1.2m admissions in 13 weeks of release in Norway, will be launched in Sweden by Nordisk Film on May 15.
