Australian sales company Odin’s Eye Entertainment (OEE) has picked up worldwide rights to Canadian animated feature Fish N Chips: The Movie.
Based on the popular animated TV series currently airing around the world, the film features the voices of Mario Cantone (Surf’s Up; Sex And The City 2) as Fish and John Leguizamo (Ice Age) as Chips.
“I’m very excited to be working on our first animated acquisition, even more so because my six-year-old daughter said it was “better than The Croods” so it was impossible not to pick it up after that,” said OEE’s Michael Favelle.
Fish N Chips is produced by Toronto-based Entremedia Digital Films, which recently completed portions of the Fish N Chips episodes Dinosaur Revolution for the Discovery Channel and is finishing production on animated feature Emma’s Wings: A Bella Sara Tale.
Entremedia recently completed a corporate merger with The Buffalo Gals out of Winnipeg, Manitoba to form Buffalo Media Group. The new entity is currently working on several live action and animated features that it has co-financed and produced and which are currently being distributed worldwide.
OEE’s Cannes line-up also includes UK zombie comedy Stalled; WW1 action drama Forbidden Ground and Dutch thriller Taped.
