The media law firm is continuing its worldwide expansion with a new Asia hub, based in Singapore.
Media law firm Olswang is branching out into Asia with a new office in Singapore.
The new Asia headquarters were launched last week at an event at The Landing Point, Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore.
It will be headed up by managing partner Rob Bratby. Andrew Stott has transferred from the firm’s headquarters in London to join the Singapore team as a partner, alongside Elle Todd and Jonathan Choo.
Olswang Asia will be primarily focused on advising on matters within the technology, media and telecoms industries. The firm has already been operating in Asia since November 2011 and counts euNetworks, PayPal and Microsoft amongst its clients in the region.
The launch of the Asia office builds on Olswang’s continued global expansion with new offices recently opened in Madrid, Paris and Munich.
Olswang chief executive, David Stewart said: “Our aim is to develop a sector based leading international legal practice. This new office opening is a key step in our strategy which this year has resulted in a 25% rise in our mid-year financial results, one of the highest in the market.”
