The Danish Film Academy's 17th Robert awards contained few surprises last weekend (Feb 27) when domestic chart topper The One And Only (Den Eneste Ene) racked up six awards including best picture.
Susanne Bier's romantic comedy was also awarded best actress for Sidse Babett Knudsen, best actor for Niels Olsen, best supporting actress (Sofie Grabol), best script (Kim Fupz Aakeson) and best music (Soren Hyldgaard and Jesper Winge Leisner).
Lotte Svendsen's strong debut feature Gone With The Fish (Bornholms Stemme) was overlooked, and Soren Kragh Jacobsen's Berlin Silver Bear-winner Mifune (Mifunes Sidste Sang) only made off with a best supporting actor award for Jesper Asholt and one for editor Valdis Oskarsdottir.
Most technical awards went to Morten Henriksen's historic drama The Magnetist's Fifth Winter (Magnetisorens Femte Vinter) picking up no less than five prizes including best cinematography for Dirk Bruel.
David Lynch's The Straight Story was voted best US title, and Pedro Almodovar's All About My Mother and Robert Benigni's Life Is Beautiful shared the award for best non-US foreign title.
