The British Academy of Film and Television Arts says that phone company Orange has extended its sponsorship of the film awards for two more years in 2008 and 2009.

Orange has already sponsored the BAFTAs for 10 years.

Hattie Magee, head of partnerships for Orange UK, said: 'We are delighted to have extended our sponsorship with BAFTA. We are now more involved with the Film Awards than ever with initiatives such as the Orange Rising Star Award and the 60 Seconds of Fame short film competition which launches into it's second year later this month. We are already looking forward to next February and we are sure that the awards in 2008 will be bigger and better than ever.'

The forthcoming BAFTA nominations are out Jan 16 and the ceremony is held Feb 10, 2008.
