The director of the original 1978 Inglorious Bastards Enzo G Castellari will present Quentin Tarantino with an award at the opening of the 5th Annual Los Angeles – Italia Film, Fashion and Art Fest in Hollywood this weekend.
Tarantino will receive The LA Award 2010 on February 28 between screenings of Castellari’s Inglorious Bastards and Tarantino’s Oscar nominated homage.
The salute to Tarantino as an “ambassador to world cinema” will also feature appearances by actor Franco Nero, Consul General Nicola Faganello, and the director of the Italian Institute Of Culture in Los Angeles, Francesca Valente.
The 5th Annual Los Angeles – Italia Film, Fashion and Art Fest runs from February 28-March 6 and is a week-long celebration of Italy’s contribution to the arts.
The free first-come, first-serve screenings include Luca Gadagnino’s I Am Love, Gabriele Salvatore’s Happy Family, and Pupi Avati’s The Youngest Son.
