Four-time Oscar winning composer John Barry will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Ghent International Film Festival’s World Soundtrack Award Academy.

On October 21 the 80-piece Brussels Philharmonic will perform selections from many of Barry’s classic scores including Goldfinger, Out Of Africa, and Midnight Cowboy, accompanied by a video presentation of film clips.

The 37th Ghent International Film Festival will run from October 12–23, culminating in the World Soundtrack Awards.

Barry earned Academy Awards for his scores to Out of Africa, The Lion In Winter, Born Free, and Dances With Wolves.
