New Paris-based sales outfit Other Angles Pictures has added a new title to its inaugural EFM slate, the company is to handle world rights on Didier Bourdon's new feature Bambou.
Bambou stars Didier Bourdon, Anne Consigny, Pierre Arditi and Eddy Mitchell. The film is about a bank worker and his piano player wife whose fraying relationship is held together by their female cocker dog, Bambou.
Other Angle Pictures, headed by Laurence Schonberg and Olivier Albou, is also offering crowdpleaser La Premiere Etoile/Meet The Elizabeths, Lucien Jean-Baptiste's comedy about a financially struggling family going on a chaotic ski trip. The film came to Other Angle from Mars, which will be releasing the film in France in March.
Also screening in Berlin is Diane Bertrand's Baby Blues, produced by Bruno Levy and starring Karin Viard and Stefano Accorsi. Mars will handle French distribution. Les Films D'Elysee will handle the Benelux release.
Another new title is The One I Love, directed by Elie Chouraqui on which Other Angle is sharing sales duties with Latido.
Rounding off Other Angle's pre-Berlin pick-ups is Seven Days by Ronit and Shlomi Elkabetz. The film, a family drama set in Israel in 1991, has racked up over 100,000 admissions in France and over 250,000 admissions in Israel.
