Members of UK production group Pact have re-elected Debbie Manners as Pact chair in the elections for Pact council. She is the fomer COO of Hat Trick Productions and now serves as director of Manned Media.
Manners said: “Pact’s work has undoubtedly contributed to the strong growth of the independent production sector over the last decade, and we want to build on this success. This is going to be a period of challenges and opportunities, from the new Communications Act, which will encompass legislation that underpins the sector, to the need to ensure that content is readily available across emerging digital platforms.”
The producer member seats are now held by: Paul Cohen, Hat Trick; Sue Vertue, Hartswood Films; Graham Stuart, So Television; Sara Geater, Talkback Thames; Simon Brickle, Monterosa; Mike Watts, Novel Entertainment; Alex Mahon, Shine Group; and Jane Turton, ALL3MEDIA.
Jane Muirhead, Raise The Roof Productions, will represent Scotland, Cube Digital Wil Stephens will represent Wales, and Dermot Lavery, of DoubleBand Films, will rep Northern Ireland.
The new council sits for two years but will consider adding other members in 2011.
