Catherine Park, former head of sales at Korea’s Sidus IHQ, has been appointed executive director, distribution, Asia Pacific for Sony Pictures Television (SPT).

Based in Seoul, Park will manage the local team responsible for the licensing of SPT’s television series and feature films to broadcast and new media clients. She will report to Angel Orengo, senior vice president, distribution, Asia Pacific.

“We are delighted to have Park on our team and are certain that her diverse and well rounded professional background will lead our business to new heights,” said Orengo.

Prior to joining SPT and Sidus IHQ, Park was head of sales and acquisitions at CJ Entertainment.
