Pathe head of distribution Ian George has beennamed as managing director of Twentieth Century Fox UK.

George has been with Pathefor the last seven years and enjoyed success with films including this year'sbest film Oscar winner Crash.

"After seven hugely enjoyable years at Pathe,it is a wrench to leave. However, I am thrilled to be joining such aprofessional team who are riding high with a fantastic slatethatencompasses the best inmainstream and event movies as well asthe best of independent cinema," he said.

During his time at Pathe, Ian was responsible for distribution as well asbeing an integral part of the green-lighting process for acquisitions andproductions within the company.
