In addition to the recently announced sales for Walter Salles' Linha De Passe, Pathe International has announced a slew of further sales done at the recent AFM.
Saul Dibb's The Duchess, which Pathe launched in Toronto, sold to Benelux (Cineart), Poland (Best Film), Greece and the Balkans (Audiovisuals), Portugal (Lusomundo), Israel (Shani), Turkey (Tiglon), Czech Republic (AQS), Hungary (Budapest Films), Romania (Media Pro), the Baltics (ACME), Singapore (Golden Village), Iceland (Myndform), and India (WEG). A Spanish deal is in the works. The historical drama, now in post production, stars Keira Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, Charlotte Rampling, Dominic Cooper and Hayley Atwell.
Another hot seller was James Watkins' directorial debut Eden Lake, starring Kelly Reilly, Michael Fassbender and Thomas Turgoose. Deals were struck for Germany (Squareone), South Korea (Mars), the CIS (Luxor), Middle East (Phars), Portugal (Lusomundo), Greece (Spentzos), Czech Republic (AQS), Turkey (Umut Sanat), Iceland (Myndform), Spanish-speaking Latin America (Quality Films) and Brazil (Playarte). A North American deal will be announced soon.
Mark Tonderai's Warp X project Hush sold to Brazil (Playarte), South Korea (Mars), Middle East (Phars), Turkey (Tiglon), Portugal (Lusomundo), Poland (Best Film), Greece (Spentzos), Czech Republic (AQS), Romania (Media Pro), and Iceland (Myndform).
In other deals, Frederic Forestier and Thomas Langmann's Asterix Aux Jeux Olympiques went to South Korea (Korea Screen); Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud's Oceans went to Greece (Spentzos); Christophe Barratier's Faubourg 36 went to Greece (Spentzos); and Nabil Ayouch's Whatever Lola Wants went to Greece and the Balkans (Audiovisuals) and Romania (Media Pro).
In still more deals, Paul Andrew Williams' The Cottage went to France (Pathe Distribution and La Fabrique du Films), Turkey (Sanat), Greece and the Balkans (Audiovisuals); Jan Kounen's 99 Francs sold to Greece (Spentzos) and Poland (Best Film); Claude Berri's Ensemble C'est Tout went to the Middle East (Phars) and FYROM (Karantanija); Stephane Kazandjian's Modern Love went to Romania (Media Pro); and Lorraine Levy's Mes Amis, Mes Amours went to Romania (Media Pro) and Canada (Equinoxe).
