James Cameron will collect the Producers Guild Of America’s (PGA) 2011 Milestone Award.
The Milestone Award is the Guild’s highest honour and recognises an individual or team who has made historic contributions to the entertainment industry.
Prior recipients include Clint Eastwood, Alfred Hitchcock, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, and Walt Disney.
The Avatar director will attend the 22nd annual PGA Awards in Los Angeles on January 22.
“James Cameron is an exceptionally talented producer – a true innovator with the rare combination of technical ingenuity and creative vision,” Paula Wagner, chair of the 2011 Producers Guild Awards, said.
