Movies-on-demand subscriber service PictureBox has struck a deal with Icon Film Distribution for the rights to more than 30 Icon films.
Movies-on-demand subscriber service PictureBox has struck a deal with Icon Film Distribution for the rights to more than 30 Icon films.
PictureBox (wholly owned by Universal Pictures) is available in the UK on TopUp TV, Talk Talk TV, BT Vision and Virgin Media.
The deal includes titles such as Apocalypto; Bridge to Terabithia; Dan in Real Life; What Women Want; Match Point; Push and La Vie en Rose
“The Icon agreement is a key development in the evolution of PictureBox,” said Belinda Menendez, president, NBC Universal International Television Distribution. “This marks the first in a series of strategic acquisitions for the PictureBox lineup, further broadening its appeal as the must-have SVOD service in the UK.”
