Prime Focus has appointed Piers Hampton as executive producer, working in the Broadcast VFX and post-production business in the company’s London office.
Hampton previously worked at Jim Henson’s Creature Shop and Framestore CFC before setting up his own company, The Bluff Hampton Company. His credits include Generational Kill, Primeval, Nine, The Special Relationship and Tamara Drewe.
Hampton said: “I’m very excited to be joining Prime Focus at this key stage in its development. It’s a progressive, forward-thinking company, with an extremely strong local London team and the backing of a huge global network of VFX professionals.”
Simon Briggs, managing director UK, added: “With his experience, knowledge and contacts, Piers is a
perfect fit for Prime Focus as we further develop our Broadcast offering here in London. This appointment strengthens our world-class team as we expand our reach into high-end television drama series.”
