Princess Ka'iulani, formerly titled Barbarian Princess, has ended the four-week Hawaiian leg of its shoot. The production will now move to shoot for 10 days in Norfolk, England by the end of April.
Matador Pictures and Island Film Group's project is based on the true story of a Hawaiian princess who left Victorian England to return to her homeland on the verge of a civil war.
Q'Orianka Kilcher, star of The New World, plays the title role. The cast also features Barry Pepper, Will Patton, and Shaun Evans.
Marc Forby directs from his own screenplay.
As previously reported, ContentFilm International is handling world sales and will show first footage to buyers in Cannes.
