Adams will star and also produce alongside Maven Pictures’ Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray.

Amy Adams is set to star in Object of Beauty, which she will also produce with Maven Pictures’ Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray.

The film is adapted from Steve Martin’s novel of the same name. Adams will play a young gallery owner as she goes through career and life ups and downs, include a romance with a soon-to-be famous artist.

“We couldn’t be happier to be working with the brilliant Amy Adams on this adaptation of Steve Martin’s smart novel,” said Maven’s Styler and Rattray. “This project continues on Maven’s mission of making films that highlight strong female characters and talent.”

New York-based Maven, which launched in May 2011, is in post production on Imogene starring Kristen Wiig and has just started shooting Filth starring James McAvoy.
