EXCLUSIVE: English-language project to shoot in 2013 in Finland and Sweden.
Tero Kaukomaa of Blind Spot Pictures (the oufit behind cult phenomenon Iron Sky) is to partner with LA-based producer Gudrun Giddings (Thale) on new Scandinavian thriller Don’t Come After Me.
The English-language project is due to shoot in 2013 in Finland and Sweden. It is to be directed by AJ Annila (Jade Warrior, Sauna). The film will be produced by Annila and Giddings and executive produced by Kaukomaa.
Based on the novel Gladiaattori by Nina Honkanen, the film tells the story of Jenna, who was just a newborn when her mother left her to die in a frozen winter forest. 17 years later Jenna tracks her mother down and invades her new family disguised as their babysitter.
AJ Annila is also in development of Human, a reverse werewolf tale produced by Kaukomaa and Blind Spot Pictures and Don’t Come After Me - a film to be produced through Annila’s own company Mangaani Motion Pictures.
Producer Giddings is currently executive producing, Knockout to be directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) and starring Noomi Rapace.
The film is due to shoot this summer in Europe.
