Oscar nominee Annette Bening has found her next project after The Kids Are All Right, signing up with Morgan Freeman for Rob Reiner’s TheThird Act.

Voltage Pictures is financing and will commence sales here on the story of a once famous writer who tries to rediscover his form and in the process helps a young girl and her mother.

Principal photography is set to commence in May and Guy Thomas wrote the screenplay. Both stars have worked with Reiner before: Bening on The American President and Freeman most recently on The Bucket List.

Voltage chief Nicolas Chartier negotiated the deal with CAA, which represents North American rights.
