UK film-maker Brian Skeet is to direct Disoriented, an Italian set neo-noir film starring D.B Sweeney [pictured], Dee Wallace and Michael Kearns.
Skeet, whose credits include the 1998 Sundance opener The Misadventures Of Margaret, has also written the script for the $7m (5m Euros) film which centres around a gay love story, sexual intrigue, and murder. Newcomers Toby Green and Steve Mccabe also star.
Shooting is due to begin in September/October on location in Italy. Patricia Alston is producing for Skeet’s outfit Joan Productions.
“It’s an old fashioned film noir with a great contemporary twist,” Skeet told Screen.
Also on the Joan Productions’ slate is My Mistress, starring D.B. Sweeney, Shelley Long and Sarah Butler, and In Search Of The Miraculous, a movie about art, love and betrayal, starring Joanna Cassidy, Eli Wallach and D.B. Sweeney.
