Sandra Bullock is to reunite with The Proposal co-star Ryan Reynolds on the action comedy Most Wanted for Mandeville Films and Universal Pictures.

Anne Fletcher is in negotiations to direct the project about a female criminal suspect and her FBI escort who become fugitives after they are ambushed en route to court.

Elements from The Proposal are writ large over the new project. Screenwriter Peter Chiarelli and producers and Mandeville Films partners David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman also return.

Overseeing the production for Universal vice-president of production is Erik Baiers will oversee for Universal, which holds worldwide rights. Reynolds and Jonathon Komack-Martin serve as executive producers.

Mandeville Films is in post-production on The Fighter starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, and Amy Adams based on the true story of boxer “Irish” Micky Ward. The company is also producing the next Muppets feature for Disney, written by and starring Jason Segal.
