Mister Smith is handling international licensing and distribution for the film and will meet with buyers in Cannes.
Inimitable Pictures and Mister Smith Entertainment have announced that Michael Caine and Jennifer Garner have joined the cast of Dan Fogelman’s Imagine.
Caine and Garner join Al Pacino, Annette Bening and Bobby Cannavale on Fogelman’s directorial debut, which he also wrote.
Based on a true story, Imagine centres on an aging musician who, when he receives a letter written to his 19-year-old self from his hero John Lennon, decides to straighten his life out and reconnect with the son he’s never known.
Originally sold to Warner Bros, the film is being independently financed by Inimitable Pictures’ Nimitt Mankad and Shivani Rawat through a film fund backed by Manoj Bhargava, the founder of 5 Hour Energy. Denise DiNovi, Jessie Nelson and Mankad will produce.
Prinicipal photography is set to commence in late June/early July in Los Angeles.
David Garrett’s Mister Smith Entertainment is overseeing international licensing and distribution for the film and will meet with buyers in Cannes. WME Global is handling the US sale of the film.
