The sci fi thriller is being produced by UK company Red And Black Films.
Caradog James is to direct The Machine, a British sci fi thriller, due to start shooting in June.
James has also written the script for the film, about two young computer programmers who fall in love as they work together to create the first ever piece of self-aware artificial intelligence which is designed to help humanity. But things go wrong when the M.O.D steal their breakthrough and teach it to become a robotic weapon.
The film is being produced by John Giwa-Amu for UK production company Red And Black Films, which was set up by Giwa-Amu and James to produce James’ first feature Little White Lies. The film went on to win two Welsh BAFTA awards in 2006.
The Machine is now out to distributors, with casting due to be announced shortly.
