Film and TV producers are entitled to a 1% cash rebate on every dollar spent on the production without limit through the customised MasterCard. The card will soon expand beyond US borders.

CASHét Card is supported by completion guarantors Film Finances and rights collection service Fintage House. Cardholders will also be entitled to vendor discounts in such areas as hotels, rental cars and equipment rental, although representatives of the card declined to name specific companies.

The card can be used during any stage of production and producers will get access to a portfolio of online accounting services that includes real time transaction reporting.

Early adopters of the card, which soft launched in May, include Better Living Through Chemistry producers Occupant Films. The card also grants instant credit to individual production entities.

The issuing partner is Tennessee-based Comdata and CASHét Card is issued by MasterCard licensee Regions Bank.
