MPI’s Dark Sky Films announced at Fantastic Fest that it has signed a co-production agreement with producer Zak Zeman’s Site B to make the genre film Late Phases.
Adrian Garcia Bogliano will direct. The Mexican’s horror film Here Comes The Devil just screened at the Austin festival where Magnet Releasing announced it had acquired North American rights. It premiered in Toronto.
Eric Stolze wrote the screenplay and production is scheduled to start in 2013. Late Phases centres on a blind war veteran who moves to a community under attack from what appear to vicious dogs.
Zeman, Bogliano and MPI evp Greg Newman negotiated the deal.
“Adrian’s vision has proven to be a repeated success while Zak’s creative voice and outstanding work has convinced us that his taste in film development aligns with our own,” Newman said. “We’re confident that this partnership will make Late Phases another audience favorite.”
