The studio is in final discussions to acquire rights to Evan Mandery’s novel. Former Columbia Pictures co-president Matt Tolmach will produce.

Q follows a man who is visited by a future version of himself and told not to marry the love of his life. He spends the rest of his life trying to undo this gross error of judgement.

Tolmach previously collaborated with Green (pictured) on Pineapple Express and left the studio a little over a year ago to set up as an independent producer. Mandery’s manager Pouya Shahbazian will also produce.

Tolmach Productions executives Robert Kessel and Kate Checci discovered the book, which is published by HarperCollins.
