Production started last week on Debbie Isitt’s sequel Nativity 2for producers Mirrorball Films and distributor Entertainment One.

Isitt has written and the directed the sequel to her 2009 family Christmas film, which will be produced by Nick Jones.

It will shoot for six weeks on location in Coventry, North Wales and Stratford.

The cast will feature David Tennant (Doctor Who) and Joanna Page (Gavin and Stacey). Reprising their roles from the original film are Marc Wooton, Pam Ferris and Jason Watkins.

The story once again is about a school nativity play, this time St. Bernadette’s kids get lost en route to a national singing contest.

Nativity 2 is an Entertainment One UK presentation in association with Premiere Picture and Media Pro Six.
