Worldview Entertainment’s eco-horror film is on the runway for a Nov 5 start. Exclusive Media will commence sales at the AFM and Roth will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Aftershock co-writer Guillermo Amoedo.
Lorenza Izzo and Ariel Levy from Aftershock have joined the cast with Aaron Burns, Daryl Sabara, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Magda Apanowicz and singer Sky Ferreria. CAA arranged financing and represents US rights.
Roth is producing The Green Inferno alongside Worldview CEO Christopher Woodrow, COO Molly Conners and Sobras International producers Miguel Asensio Llamas and Nicolás Lopez.
Worldview’s Maria Cestone, Sarah Johnson Redlich and Hoyt David Morgan will serve as executive producers. Filming will take place over the next few weeks in Peru before moving to Santiago, Chile.
The Green Inferno is Worldview’s second collaboration with Roth after Ti West’s horror thriller The Sacrament, which is currently in pre-production in Savannah, Georgia.
