Miguel Arteta will direct Demarest Media and Mazur/Kaplan’s adaptation of the Jennifer Niven YA novel.
Fanning is attached to star in the film about a girl who is inspired to live from a boy who intends to die. Niven, who founded the online teen literary magazine Germ, will adapt the screenplay.
Arteta most recently directed Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day for Disney as well as Cedar Rapids and Youth In Revolt.
Demarest Media will finance and produce All The Bright Places alongside Mazur/Kaplan, who brought the package to them.
Leif Lillehaugen will shepherd the project for Demarest and Ally Israelson for Mazur/Kaplan.
