With the World Cup approaching, football fever is starting early for TV powerhouse Endemol Sport as the company is producing a feature film about a year in the life of Manchester City Football Club.
Blue Moon Rising will follow the club through its pivotal 2009-2010 season, after the takeover of Sheikh Mansour and a big win against Chelsea. Interviewees include Man City fan Noel Gallagher.
Stewart Sugg directs and Nick London produces.
The film was shot using Red camera technology.
Endemol will handle global distribution including theatrical, TV and DVD. The film will launch theatrically in summer 2010 by Endemol in partnership with former Buena Vista head Robert Mitchell.
