Philip Noyce’s new thriller Wenceslas Square is looking at a Prague shoot sometime this spring.
The project, produced by Endgame Entertainment, has initial approval for a $1.3m rebate through the Czech Republic’s Film Industry Support Programme. The producers expect to spend $6.6m in the territory.
Wenceslas Square is an adaptation of a story by Arthur Phillips, in which two enemy spies fall in love at the end of the Cold War.
The story appeared on Public Radio International’s This American Life program in 2007. TAL host and executive producer Ira Glass is reportedly a producer on the film, along with Endgame CEO James Stern.
