What If It Barks is co-producing with Treehouse Pictures, which is financing the film, and with Aversano Media. Producers are Justin Nappi and Kevin Turen for Treehouse, Andrew O’Connor and Ray Marshall for What If It Barks and Scott Aversano for Aversano Media.
O’Connor said: “Our intention has always been to produce comedy films for the US marketplace and we’re really excited to be shooting our first film in the US. We are delighted that the guys at Treehouse saw the potential in the project and we hope very much that this will be the start of a fruitful relationship between our two companies. It’s a terrific cast, which we think will have a really broad appeal to our target audience.”
What If It Barks is set up by Objective Productions founder Andrew O’Connor and producer Ray Marshall. The company’s second feature May The Best Man Win, will shoot in the first half of 2013 in Los Angeles. O’Connor will direct from a script he co-wrote with Matthew Robinson, who co-wrote The Invention of Lying.
