IFT has secured several deals for Your Voice In My Head, starring Emma Watson, including Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA).
The sales company has licensed rights to Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA) for the UK, Australia/New Zealand, Scandinavia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.
It has closed further deals for South Korea (Sookie), Turkey (Kalinos), Switzerland (Praesens), Hong Kong, India and Taiwan (PT Parkit), Singapore (Shaw), China (HGC) and the Middle East (Shooting Stars).
Emma Watson will star in the adaptation of Emma Forrest’s bestseller as a young bipolar Englishwoman in New York whose life is saved by a heroic psychiatrist. CAA represents US rights.
Production is set to begin in early 2014. Francesca Gregorini directs and Alison Owen and Michael Benaroya produce for Benaroya Pictures and Ruby’s Faye Ward serves as executive producer.
IFT head of sales Christian de Gallegos negotiated the Your Voice In My Head deal with SPWA evp of business affairs Michael Helfand, vp of acquisitions Chan Phung and vp of business development Jon Freedberg.
