Eric Bassett’s LA-based Industrial Entertainment is lining up a Japan shoot with Neal Edelstein and Mike Macari and Shinya Egawa formerly of Kadokawa Pictures on horror project Haunted Temple, which genre specialist J T Petty will direct.

Shooting is set to begin in autumn on the film, described as being in the vein of J-horror staples The Ring and The Grudge. Industrial is handling sales.

“Neal, Mike and I are proud to be associated with Mr Engawa and the talent of J T Petty and look forward to being one of the first Hollywood based features to shoot in Japan post-tsunami,” Bassett said.
