Jeremy Irons has been cast as Alfred in Warner Bros’ untitled superhero mash-up.

Jesse Eisenberg meanwhile will play Lex Luthor for director Zack Snyder.

Chris Terrio of Argo fame is writing the film from a screenplay by David Goyer. Producers Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder have lined up a spring production start in Detroit.

As previously reported, Ben Affleck will play Batman, Gal Gadot Wonder Woman and Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman.

The film has been scheduled for worldwide release on May 6, 2016.
