The Henson’s first 3D animated film project is headed for MIPTV and involves a partnership with China’s Nine Eyes Stone & Shanghai Animation Film Studios to create a feature version of the TV series.

Sid The Science Kid: The Movie follows Sid and friends as they tour a new museum and must save the day when the robot guides go AWOL. The project will feature the voice of Christopher Lloyd as robots creator Dr Bonabodon.

The Jim Henson Company represents all worldwide rights to the film outside of China, where Nine Eyes Stone & Shanghai Animation Film Studios will distribute the TV series and the feature project.

Bradley Zweig wrote the screenplay and serves as an executive producer alongside Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford for The Jim Henson Company and Al F Barry for Nine Eyes Stone. Barry’s colleague David Miller is producer.
