Temple to star opposite Alexandra Roach who will play the young Queen Elizabeth in Michael Hoffman’s VE-day story inspired by true events.
Juno Temple and Alexandra Roach will play the young princesses Margaret and Elizabeth in Ecosse Films’ upcoming Girls’ Night Out, which begins shooting in the UK in the autumn.
As previously announced, Michael Hoffman directs from a script by Trevor De Silva. HanWay is handling international sales, Lionsgate have UK rights.
Set on V.E. Day in 1945, the story follows the two teenage Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret who are allowed out from Buckingham Palace for one night to join in the huge celebrations where they encounter romance and adventure. The story is inspired by true events.
Roach most recently played the young Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady and has just finished shooting Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina. Last Station director Hoffman recently wrapped on Gambit with Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz.
