Katie Holmes becomes the latest actress to step into directing and will make her debut on and star in the drama All We Had.

The project is based on artist Annie Weatherwax’s novel about an impoverished mother and daughter who find an unlikely home in small-town America. Josh Boone will adapt the screenplay.

Jane Rosenthal will produce All We Had with Berry Welsh and Holmes.

  • Chicago Studio City’s crime film 6IX will commence production in November and is currently out to casting. Producer Jeff Bowler is in talks with sales agents for worldwide distribution.
