Martin Scorsese is to executive produce British drama Tomorrow, the feature directorial debut of Scorsese’s long time script supervisor Martha Pinson.
Casting is underway on the London-set drama, written by Stuart Brennan and Sebastian Street, which revolves around five people who are determing to live for today and not wait for tomorrow.
London-based Burn Hand Film Productions will produce, with the lead producers Neil Jones and Dean Mitchell joined by executive producers Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Scorsese.
Mitchell commented: “It’s an amazing script, with colourful characters and a truly uplifting story. The film deals with a number of important issues, including HIV and soldiers returning home with post-traumatic stress disorder and will be making an important statement in how it addresses these. With Martha at the helm, it’s going to be a beautiful picture.”
Tomorrow is anticipated to shoot later this year.
