Miramax’s Drax to shoot in October

Sierra/Affinity handles international sales on the Canada-UK production about a doctor who is drawn into a mystery surrounding the near-death experience of a young boy.

Principal photography will commence in October in Vancouver. Max Minghella makes his screenwriting debut after the story was originally to be written and directed by his late father based on Liz Jensen’s novel.

Minghella and Tim Bricknell of Antcolony Films produce alongside Shawn Williamson of Brightlight Pictures and Aja (pictured). Rosanne Korenberg is the executive producer.

Miramax evp of production and development Zanne Devine will oversee the project on behalf of the studio.
