Isabella Films and Circe Films produce.
Nanouk Leopold will start shooting her next film, an adaptation of hit novel It’s All So Quiet (Boven Is Het Stil) in February.
Leopold adapted the screenplay from Gerbrand Bakker’s award-winning novel bestseller, which has been published in more than 20 countries.
The film will shoot in Zeeland, The Netherlands.
The cast will be led by Jeroen Willems, Henri Garcin, Wim Opbrouck, Lies Visschedijk, Loes Wouterson and Martijn Lakemeier.
Willems plays a man at odds with his elderly farmer father.
Producers are Els Vandevorst of Isabella Films and Stienette Bosklopper of Circe Films in co-production with VPRO and COIN Film in Germany. The film is supported by the Netherlands Film Fund, VPRO, CoBO fund, Filmstiftung NRW and MEDIA Slate Funding.
Cineart will handle local distribution, and the film is expected to be released theatrically in February 2013.
Films Distribution will handle world sales.
Leopold’s past films include Brownian Movement, Wolfsbergen and Iles flottantes.
