Poland’s New Horizons Association, which runs the New Horizons Film Festival in Wroclaw and is also involved in distribution, has expanded into production.

New Horizons is on board for development of the new film by Urszula Antoniak, Comrade Jesus, starring Polish actor Andrzej Chyra. The story is about Jesus Christ visiting a nouveau riche Polish Family, causing distress.

Polish-born, Netherlands-based Antoniak’s past films are Nothing Personal and Code Blue.

The association was involved in the production of Wrocław-based Przemysław Wojcieszek’s Secret, which will premiere in Forum.
