Webber is in pre-production on the story which takes place in the days after the Japanese surrender in world war two.
The plot follows a US General tasked with deciding whether Emperor Hirohito should be tried and hanged as a war criminal who tries simultaneously to relocate the love of his life.
David Klass and Vera Blasi co-wrote the screenplay and Yoko Narahashi and Eugene Nomura of Fellers Films are producing with Gary Foster and Russ Krasnoff of Krasnoff/Foster Entertainment.
Production is scheduled for January 2012 in New Zealand and Japan. CAA is handling US sales and the producers have not yet appointed an international distributor.
