Lisa Langseth and Helen Ahlsson plan new feature together.
Swedish writer/director Lisa Langseth and producer Helen Ahlsson (of Tre Vanner) are planning a new feature together after their award-winning Pure.
Langseth is working on the script now for the new feature. “It’s about violence and what could make a ‘normal’ person become violent, what could make you go over the line.”
Like Pure, this film will have a female protagonist. “I find it interesting to show other aspects of being a woman.”
Pure screened at the EFM earlier this week for TrustNordisk. The film screened in Rotterdam and was also a prizewinner in Pusan and at Sweden’s Golden Bugs.
The film is the first film role for Alicia Vikander, who is now an EFP Shooting Star. “We saw immediately that she had something,” Langseth said. The director is known for spotting hot new talents, she cast Noomi Rapace in an early theatre role.
TrustNordisk will also be involved with the new film.
Ahlsson is also producing an adaptation of Camilla Läckberg’s bestselling The Fjållabacka Murders.
