Canadian CG animation studio Rainmaker Entertainment and family entertainment company Jane Startz will partner on Tiger’s Apprentice and Far Flung Adventures: Fergus Crane.
Startz will produce and Rainmaker president and Catherine Winder will serve as executive producer.
David Magee adapted the screenplay for Tiger’s Apprentice based on Newbury winner Laurence Yep’s young adult bestseller about the adventures of an orphaned Asian-American teenager who trains to recover a rare artifact stolen from his beloved grandmother.
David Berenbaum, whose credits include Elf and The Spiderwick Chronicles adapted Fergus Crane from the book by Paul Stewart about a poor 10-year-old boy who journeys afar to save his family.
