Peter Landesman makes his feature directorial debut on the adaptation of Vincent Bugliosi’s book Reclaiming History: The Assassination Of President John F Kennedy. Colin Hanks has joined the cast.

Playtone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are producing with Exclusive Media and The American Film Company, which will also co-finance with Exclusive. Bill Paxton also produces.

Parkland recounts the chaotic events that occurred at Parkland Hospital in Dallas on the day JFK was assassinated on Nov 22 1963.

Hanks joins the cast along with James Badge Dale, Jackie Earle Haley, David Harbour and Ron Livingston.

Previously announced cast members include Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thornton, Jacki Weaver, Marcia Gay Harden, Zac Efron and Jeremy Strong.
