The comedian continues his long association with the studio and is set to voice the lead role in the film, set for release on Sept 21 2012.
Sony Pictures Imageworks is doing the animation on the star-studded story about Dracula’s efforts to keep his beloved daughter Mavis close to hand by developing a fun five-star resort filled with monsters.
Sony confirmed that Kevin James will play Frank aka Frankenstein, Fran Drescher will bring to life his larger-than-life bride, David Spade will provide the voice for Quasimodo and Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon will play a pair of married werewolves.
The cast includes Cee Lo Green as a boisterous Mummy and Saturday Night Live alumnus Andy Samberg as a carefree young man who arrives at the resort and meets Mavis.
Genndy Tartakovsky will direct the story and previously worked on Samurai Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars and recently devised concept art and storyboarded the final action sequence for Iron Man 2. Michelle Murdocca is producing.
